This biome fits into the Earth as a belt around the equator. This biome is 28 degrees north to south of the equator. This unique biome is known for its vast amount of diverse species. More than 2/3 of the Earth's plant species thrive in the tropical rainforest. Some biomes that surround this biome are freshwater, tropical savanna and temperate grasslands. Some populations in this biome are chimpanzees, gorillas, multiple species of amphibians, reptiles, trees, plants, flowers, insects, and birds. Some major cities in this biome are Manuas,Brazil; Belem, Brazil; Iquitos, Peru; Manakara, Madagascar; Bali, Indonesia and Bangka, Indonesia.
